'Some food we made in germany. (as you can see we cant speak german!!) still not sure if the outside of the ‘meat thing’ was pasta or pastry!! haha ‘
Loyal reader Julie has sent in this delight. I can see mystery meat, minced veg, and perennial favourite fucked up broccoli with peas vomited on top. I reckon your knife skills are a bit fancy though Julie. It looks like you’ve used one to slice that broccoli rather than torn it up in a fit of dinner time despondency.

Julie’s photo book through JessopsPhoto

These are the outlines of working on making my own photo book!

It started a bit difficult as it kept crashing as i started choosing what sort of book size and format i wanted. The good thing was that it didn’t loose any of the informations i had saved as they always kept a temporary files, even if i didn’t save the project.

See photo 1 ‘Software closed unexpectedly’ .

after about 3 times of trying to reload it , it work fine after that.

I started by choosing colours, and individual pages format. On each individual page i could choose if i either wanted ‘text only’ / ‘pictures only’ or ‘both’. This was great, as i could choose but reformat as i please throughout the project, so just in case i got it wrong it didn’t matter so much.

After that i just started working page by page.

I have few print-screen to show you how the work looked like.

for example, it was really to add or edit text. Please see picture 2 & 3 - ‘adding text’ & ‘editing text’

As you can see on these print-screen, i had all same opportunities as being working in a Word office document so a lot of freedom with formatting, size colours and so on …

on this particular project i didn’t go crazy on formatting as i wanted the look to be clean and professional. So i stayed with black writing, same font, but only changed sizes.

I had all the texts written down on Word already, so it was really easy to just copy and paste and reformat in the software!!

Let’s talk about when adding pictures: this was a bit more tricky, although i think i got my head around it quite quickly. there was a part on the left hand side dedicated for uploading pictures from your documents / folders … this made it so easy as i just picked up each image as i needed them.

When the picture was too big i add the option of editing the picture. It took me to a separate window on this software where i could edit the picture format as i pleases, such as cropping, resizing, rotating …

Please see photo 4 to see how i got to the separate screen of editing ‘objects’ or ‘pictures’.

Please see photo 5 to get an idea of the pictures menu on the left hand side , also on this picture you can see other options on the top menu, which were reassuring such as ‘price list’ , ‘basket’, project … where you could just click on if you were not sure about a particular matter.

And at the bottom right hand corner, you can see the big button called: ‘  ORDER’ where of course when you were ready with your project, you could just click through and it took you to all your personal details, reviewing of the project, delivery options …

I like the fact that you didn’t have to put your bank details till the end!

On the overall i am quite please with the software… i hope i will be as pleased with the end result when it comes in !!

I am waiting impatiently :)

Will update you on this blog to let you know how the final product looks like…

Keep posted :)
